Flip side to my other thread of "what was your favorite parts of the finale."
Mine....
1. Bette Midler singing. Wow - that was the most painful thing I've ever heard on the show since the bad auditions at the beginning. Even when Sanjaya was horrible, he was still better than THAT! YIKES!
2. The STUPID awards. Big FAT waste of time. Just stupid. And poor Ryan, I wonder how many times he disinfected himself after the big bird lady attempted to suck his brains out.
3. The stupid long, dull, boring speech and the award given to Carrie. Bottle that up and sell it folks! That was a cure for insomnia!
I could mention other things too...Gwen Stefani, Green Day, Taylor, the Reuben and Jordin duet, etc. But, the top three were numbered.

I can't find anything about the show that I did not like, I loved it. Although I will agree Bette Midler was not at her best.

I really like Bette Midler, too. I felt bad for her.
She is a great actress and I loved her in "First Wives Club."

Me too! I understand that she only found out that she was going to be on a couple of days before the actual show. Maybe that had something to do with her performance. She is a great entertainer with an awesome voice.

2 - The awards (I hated them last year. Why do we need to keep celebrating the bad talent?)
3 - Sanjaya's solo. (I'm sorry, I know some of you like him. But that was bad the first time, why repeat it?)

But...I do understand how if one is not a Fanjaya, then hearing him sing that song - AGAIN - would be painful. And truth be told, I thought that was absolutely the WORST song he sang on the show EVER! But, Sanji makes me smile anytime he sings - good, bad, or ugly! |

Sorry Kook! Like I said, I know some of you like him and it wasn meant as no attack on you. I personally am not a fan and would have rather seen another idol perform or no one at all. |

1. Stupid Award's that give bad people more exposure!... This is what pisses me off more about American Idol (and other shows like it)... I thought it was funny to see bad people, when they where like the one bad person that episode (in the auditions)... But now it's like 94932 bad people and 8 good!.... ya know?
2. Sanjaya, I am not going to say he was bad... because I don't need 93190 people to be like "shut up"... but I felt he did not deserve the solo.... Other people who made it farther did not get one!....
3. I didnt really like Taylor Hicks... just felt he was trying to hard! |

I liked the whole show but if I had to pick my least favorite parts, it would be:
1. the chicken lady's poem and her kissing Ryan. Yuck!
2. Gwen's performance. It wasn't bad, just kind of boring.
3. Jordin winning over Blake. |

Gwen Stefani is not "all that" to me. I didn't care for her part on the show.

The only thing I couldn't stand was Bette Midler. She was so far beyond awful it wasn't funny. I bet those folks at that casino in Las Vegas were close to suicied after that (knowing she is already under contract).
I didn't really care for Sanjaya, Green Day, Gwen Stefani, or Blake's beatbox duet. I'm not saying that they were bad, but none of them were my cup of tea. I'm sure to people who like their music, it was all very enjoyable, but I could have passed on all of them.
And I could have lived without the awards or Clive's speach. Just space filler to make it last longer.
But, all in all, it was a great night with a great outcome!!!  |

ALl of the results shows ought to be no more than 30 minutes. Why drag it out?
